1) The Perfect Date (Teen Comedy)

The Perfect Date. Dir. Chris Nelson. Netflix. 2019. Film
This film began with a title sequence displaying the production company that created this film. As the film began, it had upbeat cheery music played by an electric guitar that gave a nostalgic feeling of young teenage years. The main character is typing a letter to an institution's office of admissions, which is very relatable and realistic for people in the same age group as him. As the opening shot continues on, the main character is giving a voice over of what he wants out of life, and seems to be thinking out loud, describing his visions and goals while he continues to type his letter. By the subtle details and setting, it can be inferred that the main character, Brooks Rattigan, is a High School student with the intentions of seeking a higher education at a prestigious school such as Yale University, as it was mentioned by his guidance counselor. Throughout the changes in scene, all held together by a voice over, the production companies names continues to be displayed.
2) #RealityHigh (Teen Comedy)

#RealityHigh. Dir. Fernando Lebrija. Netflix. 2017. Film
In this teen comedy film, it begins by introducing the production companies on multiple occasions throughout the first couple of seconds. It also reveals the producer and actors and actresses names as well. The first scene begins with a flashback of a young girl who seems to be at a summer camp with other children. She is having adolescent experiences such as bullying and experiencing her first kiss. It then moves forward to the present day showing clips of her in bed, her alarm sounding, college paraphernalia, and items in her room, all while upbeat pop music plays in the background. The movie then goes on to show her daily morning routine with her family while getting ready for school. The conversation between her and her parents is about the college that she wishes to attend, UC Davis, leading the viewers to infer that she is a high school senior. The technology and misc en scene shows that the film is supposed to be set in the current times.
3) Step Sisters (Comedy)

Step Sisters. Dir. Charles Stone III. Netflix. 2018. Film
This comedy film begins with what seems to be a Sorority chant playing in the background while a title sequence appears across the screen, featuring Greek letters. It continues too show the main character, Jamilah, front and center on stage with her fellow sorority sisters performing a step. There is bright natural lighting, a crown cheering, and it seems to be realistically portraying what would take place on a college campus. The characters speak in a humorous tone and touch on controversial topics.
