Mise-en-Scene

Hi guys! I am back again providing you all with updates on my project. In this blog post, I will go over the mile-en-scene of my project. As you all know, my genre is a teen comedy film, therefore, I will be having bright and natural lighting, as well as modern clothing. There will be fashion trends that are currently being worn this year such as ripped denim, denim skirts, cropped tops, jean jackets, up cycled denim, and other fashion statements from the 80s and 90s combined into one. The hair will be styled in a ponytail, or laying down, but since I may have African American people in my film, you guys may see some Afro inspired hair trends such as box braids, and twists.

Some props that I will use are a cell phone, laptop, and a handbag. The setting in the bedroom and school will add character to the film and make it more realistic. The miseducating-en-scene in the film, Booksmart, that was released in 2019 has inspired me for my film. The dressing is very modern, and the hair and makeup is subtle, giving it the natural, everyday feel that I am going for.
